Thelma Salvatierra, Docente &#8211; Investigadora del Laboratorio de Hidrobiolog&iacute;a<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;\">Con&nbsp; el objetivo de conocer las generalidades de la nueva metodolog&iacute;a Pfafstetter de codificaci&oacute;n de las nuevas unidades hidrogr&aacute;ficas de Nicaragua, se llev&oacute; a cabo en el CIRA\/UNAN-Managua el Seminario N&deg; 31 en el cual la MSc. Thelma Salvatierra realiz&oacute; una exposici&oacute;n en la que se brindaron mayores detalles acerca del Proyecto Delimitaci&oacute;n de Unidades Hidrogr&aacute;ficas bajo la metodolog&iacute;a Pfafstetter que ha sido desarrollado con apoyo del Programa de Asistencia T&eacute;cnica en Agua y Saneamiento &ndash; PROATAS &ndash; GIZ dentro de su componente de GIRH, de Dic.-2013 &ndash; Sep.-2014.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;\">El territorio nicarag&uuml;ense fue dividido en seis Unidades Hidrogr&aacute;ficas:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;\">La&nbsp; Cuenca&nbsp; del&nbsp; R&iacute;o&nbsp; Coco,&nbsp; Cuenca&nbsp; de&nbsp; la&nbsp; Regi&oacute;n&nbsp; Aut&oacute;noma&nbsp; del&nbsp; Atl&aacute;ntico Norte&nbsp; (RAAN),&nbsp; Cuenca&nbsp; del&nbsp; Rio&nbsp; Grande&nbsp; de&nbsp; Matagalpa,&nbsp; Cuenca&nbsp; de&nbsp; la Regi&oacute;n Aut&oacute;noma&nbsp; del Atl&aacute;ntico&nbsp; Sur&nbsp; (RAAS), Cuenca&nbsp; del R&iacute;o San Juan de Nicaragua y Cuenca de El Pac&iacute;fico.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;\">A partir de estas cuencas se subdividieron otras unidades hidrogr&aacute;ficas, hasta alcanzar un total de 517 para todo el pa&iacute;s.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;\">En el marco del Proyecto Hidrometeorol&oacute;gico Centroam&eacute;ricano (PHCA) iniciado a fines de 1960 hasta el a&ntilde;o1972 se realiz&oacute; la delimitaci&oacute;n de cuencas en toda la regi&oacute;n Centroam&eacute;rica desde el punto de vista del aprovechamiento hidroel&eacute;ctrico, resultando para Nicaragua una divisi&oacute;n de 21 cuencas a nivel de todo su territorio.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;
